Founded in 1756, Dickinson College offers four-year programs of study in the liberal arts. The college boasts approximately 115 acres of main campus space and recreational areas, as well as computer configured classrooms.

Established in May 1757, the Carlisle Barracks is the second oldest army posts in the United States. During the French and Indian War, British and Provincial troops were trained here. In 1807, the post became known as the Carlisle Barracks. Since then, it has housed many institutions such as the School of Cavalry Practices from 1879-1918, the Carlisle Indian Industrial School from 1879-1918, the Medical Field Service School 1920-1946 and the U.S. Army War College since 1951. Tours of the campus are available with reservation.

Part of Penn State University, the Dickinson School of Law is the oldest law school in Pennsylvania. Tours are available Monday-Friday, with reservation at least one week in advance.
